Previous Contestants’ Entries Contracted

Three contestants in the 1st Annual Dixie Kane Memorial Contest have had their entries contracted or have received a request for a copy of the full manuscript by a publisher.
Melanie Noto’s Blood Rites (romantic suspense, first place winner in the 1st Annual Dixie Kane Memorial Contest) has been contracted by Triskelion Publishing. Her book has a release date of May 2007 and will be released under her penname of Melanie Atkins.
Melanie says that the 1st Annual Dixie Kane Memorial Contest “gave me good feedback and helped bolster my confidence in my manuscript.”

Cindy Gregory’s Heaving Bosoms (short contemporary, 3rd place winner in the 1st Annual Dixie Kane Memorial Contest) has been contracted by Triskelion Publishing. The e-book release date is January 2007. Heaving Bosoms is an erotic romance (comedy). It will be followed by its sequel, Quivering Thighs. Both books will be published together in a one-author anthology paperback sometime in 2007 and will be released under her penname of Ashley Chase.
Cindy says her judged entry in the 1st Annual Dixie Kane Contest “gave me confidence.”

R. T. Spencer’s Lady Natalie’s Nemesis did not place in the 1st Annual Dixie Kane Memorial Contest but a full copy of her manuscript has been requested by Avalon Publishing. Renee says that the positive and insightful feedback that she received from the 1st Annual Dixie Kane Memorial Contest helped to strengthen her manuscript. Renee says she took the advice of the judges and was able to incorporate them into her story without losing the integrity that created it.
As of this writing, her manuscript is still under consideration.
